Vaccines and medicines

Polio: You are allowed a polio vaccine you need for your trip to Egypt, especially if you work in a health care facility, refugee camp, institution or humanitarian assistance. This kind of work can bring you in contact with someone with polio. • If you are vaccinated against polio as a child, but have never had an extra dose as an adult, you should get an extra dose. Adults only have an extra dose in their lives. • If you were not fully vaccinated as a child or not your vaccination status do not know, talk to your doctor about getting vaccinated. If a visit to Egypt with children, it is especially important to ensure that they are up to date on their routine polio vaccinations.
